Who We Are

Aucta Pharmaceuticals is an emerging product development pharmaceutical company.  Aucta is implementing a branded/generic hybrid model, generating both near-term product revenue and mid/long-term investment return.  We aim to become a significant specialty pharmaceutical company in the U.S. marketplace integrating R&D, manufacturing, and commercialization.  We focus on improved dosage forms for patients with a therapeutic focus in CNS, rare disease, and innovating new drug delivery systems.

Aucta successfully launched its first branded product, Motpoly XR, in the epilepsy space with a targeted sales force of 20 field and 2 inside territories. We are now expanding our commercial presence in the neurology/epilepsy sector in late Q1 2026 in preparation for additional new products. Our objective is to enhance our marketing, managed care, and sales capabilities to support future pipeline products in neurology over the coming years.

Position Description

This new Inside Sales Consultant is an entry-level position being added to our established sales team, tasked with generating interest from prescribing physicians and cultivating Motpoly XR sales leads for the field team. You will be at the epicenter of this exciting product launch, coordinating with office staff, physicians and the sales team. Your energy and professionalism over the phone will often be the first exposure these potential customers have to Aucta Pharmaceuticals – you need to shine! You will “own” some accounts and develop long term relationships with customers, guiding them through the sales process. Other leads you generate will be handed over to team members.  You are expected to meet/exceed outreach activity goals across the country from inside the corporate office in NJ.

This entry-level position does not require previous inside sales or pharmaceutical experience, but it does require strong communication and organizational skills, and a desire to learn and understand persuasive selling.  It is a dynamic, rapidly evolving environment, requiring a sense of urgency, hunger to succeed, ability to navigate physician offices remotely, and an altruistic approach to the business. You will report to the VP, Commercial Operations. It is required that you successfully complete Aucta Pharmaceuticals product and sales training.

Primary Responsibilities for this Role:

·       Conduct telephone, email and fax outreach to all targeted customers and key office staff in a professional manner.

·       Coordinate and align efforts with 2 regional business managers to help identify and expand neurology practices who have an interest in learning more about Motpoly XR from field personnel located throughout the US. This may involve working directly with field representatives and physician offices to schedule in-person sales meetings.

·       Adhere to all PHRMA, Compliance, and Regulatory guidelines for pharmaceutical promotion.

·       Utilize sales reports to perform effective targeting.

·       Leverage marketing programs, literature, and other collateral assets to ensure physician awareness of Motpoly XR and future Aucta Products.

·       Ability to provide feedback to upper management on challenges and opportunities identified through physician interactions.

·       Learn and grow in the role of an inside sales consultant.

·       Accurately document and utilize prior notes from office interactions to allow for relationship development and a continuum of the sales process.

Required Qualifications for this Role:

·       BS or BA degree required.

·       Business, Communications or Life Sciences degree preferred with strong communication skills and the ability to effectively present information over the phone 

·       Exceptional oral and written communication skills, coupled with strong verbal, interpersonal, and listening abilities.

·       Proficiency or demonstrated ability to quickly learn standard software programs including Excel, Word, MS Teams, Veeva and Outlook.

·       Must be in reasonable commuting distance to Basking Ridge, NJ. This position is office based five days a week.

Work Location:

This position is based at our new Basking Ridge, NJ location. It is an office-based role, requiring presence 5 days a week.

Salary Range

Aucta Pharmaceuticals considers a combination of the candidate’s education, training, experience, location, external market, and internal value when determining a salary level for potential new employees where you can use your experiences, perspectives, and skills to help make an impact on the lives of others.
Base Salary:  $50,000-$65,000 per year, based on relevant skills and previous experience.

Bonus Incentive:  An annual bonus with opportunity for additional sales bonuses based on shared attainment of sales and performance goals.
